The Roothub app: one home for learning, community and your next move
Explore Roothub Live’s Academy, opportunities, founder tools and community — and a simple way to start without getting overwhelmed.
By The Roothub ·

A course link in one chat. A job lead in another. Your project files somewhere else. When you are trying to grow, the admin can start to feel like another job.
Roothub Live brings more of that journey into one place: roothub.live. The point is not to give you more tabs to open. It is to help you make your next move with a clearer plan.
A digital extension of a community built over 12 years
Roothub’s 2024 ten-year training report places its beginnings around 2014. By October 2026, that is roughly 12 years of work rooted in Akwa Ibom and expanded through programmes and collaborations, including Google-backed Tech101 and a reported Facebook training initiative.
The app builds on that approach: help people learn, make useful connections and move towards opportunities. Historic programme partnerships are not an endorsement of every app feature, and past training totals are not app membership counts.

For learners: Academy and a place to ask questions
Academy gives members a course catalogue and lessons to work through. Community spaces offer a place to discuss progress and learn alongside others. Events and News help you follow what is happening.
Use the combination deliberately: choose a track, complete a lesson, try the skill and ask a focused question. Course and feature access can vary by membership plan; check the current details in your account.
- Academy: structured learning rather than random tutorial hopping.
- Community: share progress and request useful feedback.
- Events and News: stay connected to learning and community activity.
For talent: make your work easier to see
Opportunities and the Job Board bring available leads into your journey. Portfolio tools help you present projects, while career tools can support your CV and applications. The banner creator gives you a shareable way to introduce yourself.
These are preparation and discovery tools, not promises of employment. Keep your portfolio accurate, tailor every application and verify an organisation before sharing sensitive information.
For founders and freelancers: useful structure
Founder readiness tools help you review areas such as strategy, growth, finances and legal preparation. Document Vault templates can give you a starting structure. Hire Hands supports service work and milestone-based workflows.
Templates and readiness scores are guidance, not legal or financial advice. Hire Hands is a platform workflow, not a claim of regulated escrow. Review the terms and payment arrangements before committing to a project.
Start small — and check what is available now
Create an account, complete your profile and choose one immediate goal. You do not need to use every feature on day one. A learner might start with one course; a freelancer with a portfolio project; a founder with a readiness review.
You can also explore the public internship programme. Its current intake starts on 19 October 2026, runs for 90 days and is unpaid. Read the programme terms and eligibility before applying. Scholarships, grants and placements depend on current availability and selection.
The best new feature is the one you actually use to make progress. One goal. One next action. Then build from there.
- Browse learning before choosing a membership plan.
- Read the internship programme details at /internship-program.
- Use your dashboard to keep the next step manageable.
